Iguazu Falls is one of Brazil’s most visited attractions. Falling on both sides of the Brazilian and Argentinian Borders, these waterfalls are unparalleled in natural beauty. Formed from the Iguazu River, the falls start from as high as 82m [270 ft] tall while the face of the water measures 2700m [8860 ft] wide. There is on average 150-275 waterfalls making up the whole of Iguazu at any given time. Most guests enjoying visiting both sides of the waterfalls, as they both offer a different vantage point. A visit to the Tropical Bird Park is also a colorful local experience if time allows.
Why we love Iguazu Falls:

Brazil Side Tour.
Start your morning with a 90 minute walking tour. Leaving directly from your hotel, explore the local region with an English speaking guide and begin to really understand the immensity of this area. In the afternoon, you have the option to continue on your tour. Head through the jungle, observing tropical birds and exotic plants, and go down to the falls themselves up close and personal. You will board a local boat which will expertly navigate the falls [choosing between either the dry tour or the ‘most popular’ wet tour]. There is also an option to explore the national tropical bird park Parque das Aves and see some of Brazil’s most colorful trademarks.
Argentina Side Tour.
As the largest part of the waterfalls is in Argentina, most guests enjoy a half day tour crossing over the two borders and exploring the Parque Nacional del Iguassu only 40 km [25 miles] away from Brazil. This side of the waterfalls is absolutely impressive. Your English Speaking guide will pick you up at the hotel, drive you across the border, help to exchange money into local Argentinian Pesos and take you to the National Park to explore nature’s treasure from the other side.
note: certain countries might need a tourist visa to enter Argentina.
